Just admiring grass on a hill

No one cares until they’ve laughed

In the changing light we may see

The benefits of you and me

Times are hard, the goings rough

We’re spinning at a height where velocity is lust

You feel there’s something in the air

Apologies are made

We’re bothered and beguiled

And I’m pulling at your strings

They’re frayed and coming loose

Perhaps we take a walk

And if the sun comes out

We’ll find us some shade

You say that the universe

Was cleverly made

Ask a question, get a response

A reaction come from the deep dark woods

Gilded are the wings we fly

In tapestry we call the people left behind

You say it’s happening again

A measly afterthought

I’m petty and immune

If property is theft and that you say you’re mine,

What would your mother say to you?

We warp crush and try to bend
