Jeanette Stofleth and The Acoustics
As co-founder of The Acoustics, Jeanette Stofleth has recently focused on her new album of unique music that has come to life in late-night recording sessions. In the 1990s, she established Lightbow, later rechristened The Acoustics, with her sibling River James Stofleth when she was living in a small apartment in Seattle. Their first joint album, titled Acoustic Revolution, was released in the mid-2000s. Following that, Jeanette Stofleth put her musical work on hold to pursue other interests.
However, Jeanette's imagination continued to stir over the intervening years, ultimately reaching fever pitch when she began to awake night after night with new compelling sounds in her head. She started writing and rewriting music and recording late at nigh. It was time to get back to her passion of creating music. Jeanette Stofleth and her sibling River James Stofleth have recorded the majority of their new music and lyrics during jam sessions in their music room. For the past three years The Acoustics’ have worked to master their album, titled As I, featuring songs written and edited by this sibling Duo.
