A fresh start begins for HER. This singer-songwriter spent a number of years performing with cover bands traveling internationally and singing at club/corporate events, while writing music in her spare time. Eventually she wanted a change from singing the music of others. She kept writing. In 2010 she was approached by her friend James Thwaites (producer, bass) about teaming their talents. Their musical journey was fueled by their love of many genres of music, refusing to be categorized. The end result being the album "Places" filled with raw, honest vocals. There are so many who have influenced HER, from Erykah Badu, Sade and Janis Joplin, to Sheryl Crow, Etta James and Angie Stone, to name a few. "Places" is about life choices, changes and mistakes that we make. It is about admitting weaknesses and faults, while remembering to acknowledge inner strength. Listen to HER.
