500,000 copies of Nancy Cassidy's 'Jubilee' have been sold and loved by millions! Thank you for that!
"I bought KidsSongs Jubilee many years ago, for my daughter who is now 14. Today, my 5 & 3 year old children love the tape so much that we have worn it out. We never leave home without it, and always listen to it in the car. But the tape has gotten so bad, I can't take it anymore. Please send us a new CD soon! and as long as I'm ordering, please send KidsSongs 1 too. Jamie"
"My 12 year old daughter and I just finished dancing to several of your tunes (I Want To Be a Dog), and I just thought I would thank you for them. We have enjoyed them for years. Tom"
'CHICKEN' is sung during credits on show #5 of 'Orange Is the New Black'.
"...Not only do my children love it, but I listen to it (and love it) even when they're sleeping! It's the most beautifully sung children's CD out there! Thank you! Gabby, NY"
"My wife & I have been teaching 34 years...when we first discovered your tape many years ago we were elated...we use your songs to teach children how to read...our favorite songs are your versions of rock and folk songs, great voice and great arrangements! Thanks for hundreds (I guess over a thousand hours now!) of hours of listening enjoyment and lessons! Brian and Pam, and about 1000 children"
Nancy Cassidy, one of the most popular children’s recording artists in the country delights children of all ages with her warm heart-felt voice and diverse selection of traditional, original and contemporary songs from her Klutz KidsSongs series. Her first recording, KidsSongs received a Gold Record from the Recording Association of America Inc. for having sold 500,000 copies - it has now sold over 900,000! In August 2004, Klutz released a two-CD boxed set and sing-along book of Nancy’s KidsSongs, produced by Ken Whiteley. This set combines music from KidsSongs and KidsSongs 2. In 2005 it received the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award and The Children’s Music Web Awards for “Best Recording for Preschoolers ages 3 to 5” and the “Judge’s Technical Award”.
In addition to singing and playing the guitar, Nancy writes a number of her own songs. Bruce Springsteen recorded Nancy and John Cassidy’s “Chicken Lips and Lizard Hips” and has sold a million copies. Nancy's rendition of "I Wanna Be a Dog," was beamed up to the astronauts on a shuttle flight, making her one of the first children's artist's with an orbital audience.
Nancy has a total of five Klutz CDs: KidsSongs, KidsSongs 2, Jubilee, Sleepyheads, and Hullabaloo. She's sold more than 2 million CDs worldwide!
