ベスト盤°は2枚目なので、1枚目の時に入れようか悩んでた曲を入れる事ができて良かった。 『フリーダム』『レモンKISS』はライブでやる事も多くて今回は絶対入れたかった。 『マイル』や『虹にみた』もPANの歴史を振り返ると聴いてもらいたい曲。 この辺りの楽曲を再録してるのが今回の聴きどころやねん。 【バーバラ】に入ってる『マイル』はチューニングを半音下げにしてるのですが、当時ライブでやってるうちに楽器隊が「チューニング下げずにやってもええかな？」とか言うから、レギュラーチューニングのままライブでやる事が多くて、それがそのまま定着して今回はレギュラーチューニングで録音した。 単純に歌のキーが上がってるって事！ まぁそれはそれで歌えるようになってしまったなぁ〜なんて自画自賛する所もありますが！ 『虹にみた』も【そこに光る】に収録されてるバージョンではなく、当時作ったままの楽曲で再録しました。 この5年間でリリースした曲もいっぱいあって『想像だけで素晴らしいんだ』『ギョウザ食べチャイナ』など、表情が違うけどPANらしい曲、PANの歴史を作っている曲を入れたベスト盤°が完成して嬉しかった。 それにしても、ベスト盤°の1と2でこんなにも内容が違うのはすごいよな。と思ってます！ "BEST PAN TWO" This is the second best album for us, so we able to include the songs that we couldn't include in the first one. I definitely wanted to include "Freedom" and "Lemon kiss" which we play lot in our gig. Looking back our history, "Mile" and "Saw in a rainbow" are very important song and this time we re-recorded these old songs, which must be the special point of this album. Original track of "Mile" from the album "BA-BARA" is recorded in half step down tuning but this time we recorded with in regular tuning. I wrote the reason why in the liner of "Mile". We re-recorded "Saw in a rainbow" as well in original version, not the version in "Sokoni hikaru". We also included many songs written in last five years. "Imagining is just awesome" and "Go for Gyouza" are a absolutely new side of us but all are our history and I'm proud of it. Pretty different than the first one, isn't it?
